This coming Saturday, July 16th (from 8:00am-8:00pm), is Carson Valley's Wings and Willows Festival.  There will be all sorts of interesting and educational activities to partake in.  There are handful of nature tours, including several different bird tours, wetland and habitat exploration tours, butterflies and wildflower tours, Carson River floats, and much more, check out the  tour schedule for times and locations.  In addition to the tours, there will be workshops and presentations on a variety of topics including invasive species, bears, bats, wildflowers, birds, and butterflies, for times check out the workshop and presentation schedule.  I really wish I could make it out to this event, unfortunately I'll be out of town--so if anyone is able to attend please feel free to comment here. I would love to hear all about it!
