In conjunction with the current Special Collections exhibit "Where the Sage Meets the Sky: Great Basin Landscapes," a "Sagebrush Conversations" event will be held on Sunday, Feb. 26 from 3-5 p.m. Local experts and authors will discuss Nevada's physical and cultural environment. Discussions on this date will be on "Mapping the Great Basin" with Linda Newman, University of Nevada, Reno Geoscience and Map Librarian Emerita, and "My Search in the Big Empty's Landscape," with William L. Fox, Director, Center of Art + Environment, Nevada Museum of Art.
The talks will be held in the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center's Faculty and Graduate Reading Room on the fourth floor.
