"Shooting the West is a photography symposium with distinguished presenters in many different photographic fields. Throw in workshops, participant shows, juried contests, vendors like Canon and Epson, portfolio reviews, great Basque food and lots of Winnemucca style fun… and you have a pretty good idea what it’s all about."
Shooting the West XXIV, will be held March 7-11 in Winnemucca, NV.
Shooting the West is one of the biggest photography symposia in the West. In the past, it has attracted distinguished guests from areas including photojournalism, photo-documentary, commercial, portraiture, nature, natural scene, wildlife, fine art, National Geographic and beyond.
This year's inspiration and expertise come from the Carolinas, featuring Al Petteway and Amy White, extraordinary musicians and photographers from North Carolina and Stacy Pearsall, former combat photographer, from South Carolina. This year's workshops include Adobe Lightroom, Location Lighting on Winnemucca Mt., Intro to Photographic Craft, Image Editing for Portraiture, among others. There will be a variety of vendors, exhibits and competitions.
