The Eastern Nevada Landscape Coalition (ENLC) will be hosting the Seventh Annual Winter Weed Meeting: Expansion and Breakthroughs in Invasive Plant Management and Control, January18-19, 2012 in Ely, NV. Topics will include, Early Detection and Rapid Response, Clean Water Act and Pesticides, Economic Costs of Not Controlling Weeds and How to prioritize weed infestations for eradication. Continuing education unit credits (CEU) will be offered for anyone who has a current applicator’s license and the Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDOA) will administer the applicator’s test on the afternoon of the 19th for anyone who is interested in becoming a licensed applicator--this is $25.00 on top of the registration fee and study materials are available for $15.00.
Price of registration for the meeting is $30.00 for CWMA members and $40.00 for non-members. More information can be found at the Eastern Nevada Landscape Coalition website.
