HINES, Ore. – The U.S. Bureau of Land Managementn(BLM) Burns District announces plans for maintenance on the Stonehouse road in the Steens Mountain Cooperative Management and Protection Area.

The road will receive intermittent maintenance work where needed to repair and/or prevent road surface and resource damage resulting from wet weather conditions and fire management activities. The repairs and maintenance are necessary to support multiple-use resource management and ensure hazard-free public access.
