![]() The Nevada Small Farm Conference is going to be held March 8-10 in Fallon, NV. "Explore old and new methods of farming and local food distribution to achieve the best results in bringing food from the farm to the family dinner table." THURSDAY: Four pre-conference workshops - Local Beef; Hops, Barley & Local Beer; Organic Seed Saving & Starting; Organic Hoop House Production. FRIDAY/SATURDAY: Sessions include business planning and marketing; soil fertility & composting; organic farming; small-scale cheese operations & cheese making; animal husbandry; pest management (plants, insects & critters); local food distribution; food safety; egg grading & labeling, and much more. FRIDAY NIGHT: Socialize and enjoy a dinner of local food and spirits at Lattin Farms.
