University of Nevada Cooperative Extension’s Nevada Naturalist program presents Weeds: Why Worry? as part of the 2015 Lecture Series on March 24. The hour-long presentation begins at 7 p.m. Join Associate Professor and Social Horticulture Specialist Angela O’Callaghan as she discusses the regulations governing invasive plants and the alarming rates at which weeds are becoming resistant to the methods used to control them. Nevada Naturalist, a Cooperative Extension program, focuses on giving a broad understanding of nature to participants interested in learning, volunteering, teaching and participating in conservation projects and issues.
