Park interpretive project to be unveiled The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW), in partnership with the City of Boulder City, will celebrate Nevada's bighorn sheep with the unveiling of an interpretive project at Hemenway Park in Boulder City at 10 a.m. July 11.
In 2013 the NDOW and Boulder City entered into an interlocal agreement to create and install a series of interpretive panels at Hemenway Park that teach visitors about the desert bighorn sheep that frequent the area. This interpretive project will provide local residents and tourists alike with a unique opportunity to learn more about the Nevada's majestic state animal in a setting where there is a high probability of viewing them at the same time. "The Nevada Department of Wildlife thanks Boulder City for their continuing support of bighorn sheep conservation and education. Our partnership benefits the bighorn's future and the quality of life for Nevada's residents and visitors," said Tony Wasley, Director of the Nevada Department of Wildlife.
