PIOCHE, Nev. – Echo Canyon State Park offers a 35-acre reservoir, a campground, picnic area, group use facilities and boat launch. Abundant wildlife, a wide variety of native plants and unique rock formations make exploration a favorite activity. During this talk visitors will learn about the history of the park and its surrounding area. WHEN: Saturday, April 25, at 1:00 p.m. WHERE: Echo Canyon State Park Amphitheater (located in the campground). CONTACT: Josh Rhein, 775-962-5102, jrhein@lcturbonet.com This event is open to the public and free of charge; however, there is an entrance fee into the park of $7 per vehicle (cash or check). Nevada residents receive a $2 discount. Program schedules are subject to change due to weather and staffing. The park is three hours north of Las Vegas, off Highway 93 by State routes 322 and 323. It is 12 miles east of Pioche and is about 12 miles from the Nevada-Utah border.
