History Comes Alive at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park

Celebrate the 150th anniversary of Nevada’s Statehood by watching history come alive at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. This large scale re-enactment will transport visitors back in time with a battle featuring cavalry charges and infantry maneuvers performed by 300 soldiers. Events will include: a 19th century baseball game, field hospital tour, civil war fashion show, lady’s tea and an address by President Abraham Lincoln. Civil war merchants will offer visitors the opportunity to purchase a souvenir from the past.

WHAT: Nevada Day Civil War Re-enactment

WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, November 1 and 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WHERE: Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is located 12 miles west of I-215 on Highway 159, just outside of Las Vegas at 6375 Highway 159, Blue Diamond, NV 89004

WHO: This event is open to the public

COST: Admission to Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is $7 per vehicle for Nevada residents, $9 for all others. There is a $3 suggested donation for this program.
