Celebrate the 150th anniversary of Nevada’s Statehood by watching history come alive at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. This large scale re-enactment will transport visitors back in time with a battle featuring cavalry charges and infantry maneuvers performed by 300 soldiers. Events will include: a 19th century baseball game, field hospital tour, civil war fashion show, lady’s tea and an address by President Abraham Lincoln. Civil war merchants will offer visitors the opportunity to purchase a souvenir from the past. WHAT: Nevada Day Civil War Re-enactment WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, November 1 and 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. WHERE: Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is located 12 miles west of I-215 on Highway 159, just outside of Las Vegas at 6375 Highway 159, Blue Diamond, NV 89004 WHO: This event is open to the public COST: Admission to Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is $7 per vehicle for Nevada residents, $9 for all others.
