Take an evening hike along the Deadman’s Creek trail and watch the sunset and moonrise. This months’ full moon is a “super moon,” which means the moon is at its closest point to the earth.
WHAT: Full Moon Hike: This two-mile moderate hike is limited to 30 participants; reservations are required. Call 775-687-4319 or e-mail email@example.com to reserve your spot. Submit your name, phone number and the number of people. We will call back to confirm reservations. Wear sturdy hiking shoes (no flip-flops). Participants should also bring water, a camera and a flashlight. Dogs are allowed on this hike, but must remain on a leash.
WHEN: Saturday, July 12 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
WHERE: Meeting location will be made known upon registration.
WHO: This event is open to the public and is sponsored by Nevada State Parks.
COST: The program is free, but there is a $7/vehicle entrance fee; Nevada residents receive a $2 discount.
