Please be aware that sledding, skating, walking or playing on frozen lakes, ponds, rivers and streams is hazardous and is not recommended. Frozen water that seems safe may not support your weight and if you fall in the extremely cold temperature of the water can be life threatening. For safety purposes, stay off any frozen body of water. A near-tragic event recently occurred in Wrightwood, CA and can be seen online at ABC News.
