Canoe Trips at Lahontan State REcreation Area

Join in a day full of fun, relaxation and nature on a canoe trip that starts just below the Lahontan Dam and runs along the Carson River to the Irrigation Diversion Dam. This event is great for beginners who can learn the basics of canoeing. Canoes, paddles, and life jackets will be provided, but participants will need to bring sun block and drinking water. Space is limited; call 775-867-3500 for reservations.

WHAT: Canoe Trip
WHEN: Saturday, June 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Thursday, June 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Friday, June 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Saturday, June 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHERE: Lahontan Dam River Camp, located at 16799 Lahontan Dam Road, Fallon 89406. From Hwy 50, between Silver Springs and Leetville Junction, turn south onto Lahontan Dam Road. Drive past the bridge, over the Carson River and stay on the paved road to the main entrance of the park.
WHO: The event is open to the public, but space is limited. Call 775-867-3500 for reservations.
COST:  The event is free and entrance fee is waived for participants.
