The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will meet with the Mojave-Southern Great Basin Resource Advisory Council (RAC) Friday, March 16, at the BLM Southern Nevada District Office, 4701 N. Torrey Pines Dr., Las Vegas, Nev. The meeting is open to the public, and individuals have two opportunities to make public comments from 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
The RAC advises and makes recommendations to the BLM on public land management. Discussion items will include, but are not limited to, renewable energy, transmission, recreation, etc. More information about the RAC is available at http://www.blm.gov/nv/st/en/res/resource_advisory/mojave-southern_grat.html The Mojave-Southern Great Basin RAC is made up of community members representing categories including: commercial and non-commercial uses, elected officials and state agencies, environmental, livestock, mining, Native American, and wild horse and burro.
