BLM: BLM Sierra Front-Northwestern Great Basin Resource Advisory Council Schedules 2012 Meetings5/16/2012 Carson City, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will meet with the Sierra Front-Northwestern Great Basin Resource Advisory Council (RAC) two times in Nevada in 2012: June 14-15, in Carson City; and Sept. 27-28, in Winnemucca. The meetings are open to the public.
The RAC advises and makes recommendations to the BLM on the management of public lands. Discussion items will include, but are not limited to, renewable energy development and transmission, the greater sage-grouse, BLM Carson City District Resource Management Plan, wild horse and burro program, wildland fire, and recreation development plans. Meeting times will be made public prior to each meeting. Each meeting will include a general public comment period that will be listed in the final meeting agenda that will be available two weeks prior to each meeting. Each meeting will also include a field trip on the second day.
