BLM: BLM Proposes to Sell 480 Acres in Henderson by Modified, Competitive Sealed-Bid Sale

Las Vegas – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Las Vegas Field Office, is initiating a 45-day public comment period on an environmental analysis of a proposal to sell a 480-acre parcel of public land at a modified competitive, sealed-bid sale at no less than the appraised fair market value of $10,560,000. The parcel is located in the southwestern area of Henderson, Clark County, Nev.  The public comment period will close May 21.

The BLM determined that a modified competitive sale is appropriate to assure equitable distribution of land among purchasers or to recognize equitable considerations or public policies. A modified competitive sale designates a bidder that will have the right to meet the highest bid. The designated bidder for this sale is Silver State Land LLC. The City of Henderson requested the BLM to hold a modified competitive sale and to select Silver State Land LLC as the designated bidder.
Sealed bids may be mailed or delivered to the BLM Las Vegas Field Office from May 21 to no later than 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time June 4. Each sealed bid must include at least 20 percent of the amount bid in addition to a $20,000 bid guarantee, and a Certificate of Eligibility. The BLM proposes to conduct the bid opening on June 4 at 4:45 p.m. Pacific Time under the authority of the Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act of 1998, as amended, and the Federal Land Policy Management Act.

The Notice of Realty Action published in the April 4Federal Register. Written comments must be addressed to the Bureau of Land Management, Las Vegas Field Office, 4701 N. Torrey Pines Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89130.  Before including your address, phone number, e-mail address, or other personal identifying information in your comment, you should be aware that your entire comment – including your personal identifying information – may be made publicly available at any time. While you can ask us in your comment to withhold your personal identifying information from public review, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so.
